Create zones- your everyday dishes should be closest to the dishwasher, the nicer dishware nearby for easy access, and the fine china you use once or twice a year in a credenza or buffet. These fancy pieces, sometimes heirlooms, can alternatively be displayed on the wall with mounts or built-in plate storage shelves.
