The Best Flowers to Plant Right Now

Paperwhites

Spring is here and it’s time to start planting! There’s nothing like fresh-cut flowers to elevate and freshen up a space, and all the more special when they’re from your own back yard.

To confirm that the plants you pick are native to your area and hence will grow beautifully, check out this website: https://www.nwf.org/NativePlantFinder/

  7. Sedum- flowering plant that changes colors throughout seasons

  8. Zinnia- vibrant and grow quickly

  9. Hydrangeas- can plant in spring or fall, need direct sunlight and protection from wind

  11. Hyacinths- plant in fall for spring blooms, naturalize themselves

  12. Daffodils- must be planted in fall for spring blooms

  13. Crocus- hardy bulbs, rodents tend to dig them up and relocate them, so they spread easily
