Designing a Fabulous Holiday Mantel

Just one more week until Christmas! Are you hosting a party? If so, you’re going to want to decorate your mantel.

As I’ve said in my other blogs, I don’t love a lot of red or plaid. I aim for artistic, bold, unique, nothing tacky. Recently I came across this jaw-dropping holiday mantel and tree designed by Tracy Cole from Hello Flora, based in the UK. See below.

How incredible is that? Completely unexpected. You can find more of Tracy’s work linked below. She’s also created other fabulous floral installations for all seasons of the year.

One of the most inspirational designers for me has been women-owned Rockett St. George, also hailing from the UK. Eclectic, dark, irreverent. Take a look at their version of a Christmas mantel below.

Their instagram is to die for, as well as their online home store. Take a look!

I wanted to include a couple classic mantels created by Vicki Kunz of La Tulipe in Milwaukee for some very high-end clients. I was lucky enough to collaborate with her twice now and see her at work.

I’m curious to hear what your mantel design style is. As always, I welcome your photos!
