2025: Kitchen Design
Are you thinking about a kitchen remodel next year? My main suggestion is not to delay. Materials and labor are only getting more expensive. It makes me wince myself, as we want to do one in our family home in the next couple years.
Whether you’re pulling the trigger or not, take a look at my predictions and preferences for kitchen design in 2025:
Back kitchens - as kitchens are moving towards becoming primarily social gathering spaces, designers are relocating the work space to another area, including the sink, dishwasher, linens, etc.; whatever’s needed for pantry, prep and storage
Dramatic, dark kitchens- brass, mirrored elements, dark painted ceilings, cabinets, walls, etc.
Tiled range hoods- I’m doing this soon!
Coffee and/or wet bar- space permitting
Banquettes- huge space saver
Chopped kitchen islands- custom to fit your space, with one or more corners being cut off forming an angled edge
Oxblood cabinets - this color is a must-try and timeless in my book
Wood finishes for cabinets
I cannot wait to get my hands on another kitchen. If you’re in the market for a kitchen remodel, I have a ton of tips for what to do and not do with your layout, appliance organization and material selection. Send me an email and let’s talk!
